Sly Twine 4
Here’s the final pick of accidental acrostics, where Snakes On A Plane spells SOAP, and CAP is Crime And Punishment.
But just to torment you, I’ll run the accidental words in isolation to see if you can figure out the original titles. In order, the first six involve a famous play, two mainstream films, a Miles Franklin winner and two Booker Prize-winning novels.
The next 13 all stem from hit songs. See how many you can identify during the week before I reveal the relevant bands and artists next Tuesday. (Remember, if the CAP fits, name it.)

I’m taking a blog sabbatical for the first half of July, so the site will be quiet aside from this extended acrostic teaser, and the customary Bird Brains. Take care, DA

Hey there… Love the site! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question but…
You said you write wordwit for SMH? Did you write the 22 June 2007 one, “Explain why 50 in 09 reversed Is a code by which our land is cursed.”? It’s been bugging me for a week now! What’s the answer? Thanks! –Jeremy

Explain why 50 in 09 reversed
Is a code by which our land is cursed.
The answer is ELNINO (that is ‘L’ - being 50 - inside ‘ONINE’ backwards.)
Hope Wordwit keeps bugging you - in the best sort of way.
