Fluffy Follow-up

This despatch from Column 8 this week, regarding the Mystery of Tree-Borne Teddies along Old Bungendore Road:

“A third and final theory from John McGregor, of Dolls Point [seriously!], whose brother manages a motel in Queanbeyan. After some investigation, possibly in local pubs, his brother says the Bungendore teddy bears indicate the position of a nudist camp in the area.”

And I won’t even make the bare bear pun, so there.

Any other weird wayside stuff round Oz? Just out of Collie, in WA, a platoon of hard hats stands vigil on a backroad corner (see the guidebook), but surely Australians have been up to odder public decor. Let us know about it.
